Does anyone else get nice new pajamas on Christmas Eve? This is a tradition that I have loved since I was a child. Now if you talk to my parents, they have no clue when or why they started this tradition. They don't know if the "pixies" left them for us or if they just handed them to us when it was time to get ready for bed. All I know is that I loved them!
All my siblings, and myself, have continued this tradition with our own families. Every Christmas Eve night there is a mysterious knock at the door. This knock is followed by excited shrieks as each child already knows what will be waiting for them when they open the door. On the doorstep, there is a bag full of wrapped presents. The kids grab the bag and hand out the presents which are label, fortunately, with the child's name. Then they presents are opened and children are running to bedrooms, bathrooms or staying in the living room to change.
All that is left is to go to bed and wait for Father Christmas to arrive!
Can you spot me in the picture above? Hint, I am the one still half asleep
