I came 8th out of a class of 36th at school. We had to get an average of 40% at school, & it was a hard exam as you can see by the results, there were about 6 boys failed so they will dip, & there were about 10 boys failed at least for paper. 85% to pass for buzzer at 12 words a minute & 75% on paper. I'm living in hopes of getting a bit of leave before we go which would be foreign service leave & we are entitled to 10 days but I don't suppose I shall get it because of the weeks draught leave. We go tomorrow morning, and & we had commanders kit inspection this morning. We have been give sun helmets because its hot where we are going. We know where we are going but we are not allowed to tell, but its as near the equator as it can be so I shall be like a match stick when I come home. "sweat-sweat-sweat." and when I knock on the door, don't think I'm a n----r & throw me out because I will probably be hungry, ha ha. , and Dad. I'll try & keep my wives down to 10 at the most. Well I must say CHEERIO from your loving LEN
